What is this item suitable for: The fire blanket is ideal for extinguishing small fires such as a flame in the pan or a trash can fire. Note: This item is not suitable for deep fryer fires.

How does a fire blanket work and where to place it: The fire blanket is grabbed at the corners, after which you partly wrap it around your own hands. If you have a fire blanket at home, we recommend using it to extinguish small fires.

In the event of a flame in the pan or an oil or fat fire, do the following:

Never leave a pan unattended

If possible, cover your hands / put on oven gloves

Make sure there is a suitable lid nearby and cover a burning pan

with a suitable lid (place the lid away from you)

Immediately turn off the heat source.

Turn off the extractor hood

Let the pan stand until it has cooled down (at least an hour)

If the fire is bigger than the pan: alert your housemates and leave your house. Call 112 when you are outside.

We advise not to extinguish a grease or oil fire with a fire blanket. Never take a risk and ALWAYS put personal safety first!
If you have a fire blanket at home, we recommend using it to extinguish small fires.
Fire prevention plan: We recommend that you have at least 1 fire blanket in your home which is stored in a recognizable and accessible place. Preferably near the kitchen.
